Discovering Port Renfrew and Botanical Beach ๐ŸŒŠ

This photo was taken a little while ago, but I thought I would share it as one of my first posts! I have lived on the Island for six years now, and somehow, I had never made it out to Port Renfrew. I love how peaceful and quiet it is out here.

My partner and I spent the day exploring Botanical Beach, and it was absolutely breathtaking. We spent hours walking around, taking in the beautiful ocean views, exploring the rocky shoreline, and just enjoying everything around us. My partner also captured some amazing clips with his drone, which made the experience even more special.

I would definitely recommend making the drive out! It is about two hours from Victoria, and there are so many beautiful places to stop and explore along the way. You can visit Sooke, Sombrio Beach, explore parts of the Juan de Fuca Trail, and, of course, stop in Shirley for some great coffee and food.

If you have been thinking about exploring more of the Island, I would absolutely recommend adding Port Renfrew to your list. Sometimes the best adventures are right in our own backyard, places we haven’t gotten around to visiting yet!
